The area of Agriculture and Cattle Raising of Teguise continues in the effort that the producers of the municipality make visible the work carried out with great effort by the collective of the primary sector in the field and whose fruits give work to many families and contribute to the environmental wealth and landscape of the municipality of Teguise and the island of Lanzarote. “A product collected yesterday, has much more flavor than a previous one and takes longer to spoil, hence we put in value the freshest products, called Kilometer 0, which promote the sustainable development of our lands, encouraging the local economy”, has stated the head of the area, Gerardo Rodríguez.
With the campaign “Each one in his house and Teguise in everyone’s”, the City Council coordinates with the primary sector the delivery at home of a fresh collection of products from the garden every Tuesday and Friday, with the possibility of placing orders for Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the phones 928 52 23 17 or 618 213 954.
Social basket of agroecological consumption
And it is that in addition to the implementation of the wallet card for food aid and basic necessities, a home care service continues to be carried out in which these agro-ecological consumption baskets are delivered, with a quality assortment consisting of gofio, rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, zucchini, squash, carrots, cabbages, tomatoes, eggs, lettuce, among other products of high nutritional value.
